    We love our new bathroom vanity. It was expensive, but we think it was worth it.

    I think Gilman's has a lot they can do to improve. Communication was definitely weak. My questions by email resulted in one liner responses that had to be addressed multiple times again later. The wrong counter top was nearly ordered, but fortunately I personally forced them to let me double check their work order and we avoided a mistake.

    I also felt they used questionable sales tactics. They told us our freight charge was included for free. When we cross-bid their quote with another local company, it was the same price including the freight charge, which meant they lied to us.

    The tile they offer is all over priced by $2 to $5 / sq ft. and the exact same product can be found elsewhere at a better price (Latch tile for Daltile products). We probably saved $500 not purchasing tile here. In the future, we will probably try to direct order the cabinetry from the manufacturer, have the counter installed directly with the local company, and save another $300-$600 in commissions.
